When you start Proximate, you may be prompted to enable certain permissions in macOS for it to function correctly.

You can always view or change these permissions by clicking on the Proximate icon in the menu bar, then selecting Settings > System.

1. Click the button that says "Fix" for one of the permissions - you can go in any order you choose. A pop-up will appear stating that Proximate is requesting to use the permission you selected. Click Open System Settings to continue.

2. You will be brought to  > System Settings > Privacy & Security for your selected permission. Find Proximate in the list of applications that appear and ensure its switch is set to the "On" position as seen below:

3. You may be prompted to confirm this change with TouchID or the password you use to log in to macOS. Follow the prompts to continue.

4. MacOS may require you to quit and restart Proximate to complete this process. If this happens, follow the on-screen prompts and allow the app to restart. It may take a few seconds. If you do not see the on-screen prompts, click the Proximate icon in your menu bar, then select Settings > System.

5. Repeat steps 1-4 until permissions have been granted to Proximate for Accessibility, Input Monitoring, and Screen Recording.
